Responsibility for the North American and key international markets. '7Present recommendations for prospective new products and market opportunities to management for consideration and action as appropriate. '7Work to ensure that proper distribution channels are developed to support the representative and distribution channels through your presence both at the factory and in the field. '7Establish contacts both inside and outside the territory that influence decisions on use of our products and local distribution channels. This includes educating these contacts on the features, advantages and benefits of our products and the use of our in-territory distribution channels. Primary contacts will be with US based multi-national companies and engineering firms involved with specifying projects located in the assigned region. '7Review all requirements for presentation of specialized proposals to ensure that such proposals meet specific customer needs and that the investment and preparations are warranted by the sales potential. '7Maintain a communications network to utilize the experience throughout the organization in maintaining an active sales program in accordance with the various market potentials. '7Maintain contact with customers, representatives, and other members of the company in a reasonable, friendly, cooperative, and businesslike manner to ensure that the company is well and favorably received. '7Coordinate all requests for special pricing and utilize internal cost analysis tools. '7Interface with UTCFS legal on a regular basis relating to distribution agreements. '7Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships with internal/external customers and vendors. '7In all areas of responsibility, the incumbent is responsible for providing full compliance with the UTC Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government and the UTC Code of Ethics, which include ensuring subordinate staff are aware of the policies and that their responsibilities and actions comply and support these policies. '7Responsible for the performance of other tasks related to this position as management assigns them. Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering is required. MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred. '7Five (5) to ten (10) years sales and marketing experience in the global marine industry Familiarity with US & International marine & fire protection regulations and Navy specifications. Boating/boatbuilding experience a plus'7Excellent communication skills, articulate, self motivated with a determination to succeed and a strong positive attitude. '7Strong presentation skills. '7Ability to motivate an independent distributor network. '7Solid understanding of pricing strategies and GM issues. '7Valid Passport and availability to travel at least 40% of the time. '7Excellent time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities. '7Must have the ability to think ahead and plan over a 2-4 year time span while organizing and managing multiple priorities. '7Must have experience demonstrating the ability to lead and influence a diverse group toward the identification and subsequent achievement of operations and company level strategic objectives. '7Must have demonstrated experience and success in developing people and building talent in an organization. '7Must have a track record of driving solutions to assigned tasks utilizing a proactive approach to problem solving.
