SR. APPLICATION DEVELOPER

Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services SR. APPLICATION DEVELOPER (Non-Bargaining) A full-time position is available for a qualified applicant in the Information Technology Services area. Responsibilities includes: Under direction of the Data Systems Manager design, code, test and debug programs using programming languages including SQL, VB, NET, C#, NET, HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript. Maintain working knowledge of Visual Studio 2003, Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2005, namely SSIS and Reporting Services. Maintain understanding of current and proposed eligibility and reporting requirements. Participate in the design, installation and testing of complex computer systems. Update and enhance systems for optimum performance. Provide liaison with federal, state and county agencies to ensure effective system development. Qualifications: coursework or exp. in computer programming techniques; coursework or exp. in office practices and procedures; coursework or exp. in computer hardware application; coursework or exp. in computer operation; coursework or exp. in government structure and process; training or exp. in computer programming; training or exp. in use of high level programming language; or equivalent. Prefer 2-3 yrs of relevant programming exp., MCPD, MCAD or MCSD certification a plus. Salary: $25.99-33.78 hr.
