Radiological Controls Technician

The Bettic-Charleston Moored Training Ship organization is seeking Radiological Controls Tecchnicians to staff a Navy support organization in Goose Creek, South Carolna. Candidates must possess an Associates Degree in a technical discipline including courses in algebra and physics or algebra and chemistry.  The ability to make calculations requiring the use of algebraic formula is required.  Applicable experience will be considered.  Previous NAVSEA Radiological Controls Article 108 qualification, Radiological Controls Technician expereince, or prior nuclear navy experience with an honorable discharge are preferred.

 

U. S. Citizenship is required.  Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matters.

 

This position begins with a 22 week radiological controls training program conducted at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia.  Candidates receive full pay and applicalbe benefits during this training period.  Upon qualification and graduation from this training program, employment continues in Goose Creek.  The work schedule is a rotating shift assignment.  Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package.
