Location: Washington, DC 20001Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend  Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will be responsible for the following:§ Conducting process and product audits, testing and inspecting and documenting results as well as communicating quality issues and reports to Management.  § Assisting in the development, coordination, and management of the quality assurance activities required to support, evaluate, audit, control and document all quality assurance functions throughout the production cycle. § Establishing, updating and maintaining all associated documentation, with particular attention to those QA/QC activities related to the efforts required to improve the processes and procedures that comprise e-Management's software development, operational and service delivery processes.§ Assisting Project Managers in defining project activities to ensure the project teams are compliance with QA policies and procedures.§ Managing quality assurance tasks and testing. Works on complex tasks and ensures project, schedules, and performance requirements are met.§ Interacting with outside customers and functional peer groups on a daily basis. Interaction normally requires gaining the cooperation of others. § Providing in-service training to staff working at remote customer sites§ Understanding and facilitating process improvement initiatives using the Software Engineering Institute's CMMI Guidelines and ISO 9001:2000. Minimum Requirements: BS degree in a technical discipline with two (2) years of professional experience, OR 3-5 years experience in Quality Assurance performing process and product quality audits and supporting process improvement initiatives Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000  and CMMI  Excellent customer communication, interaction and presentation skills Self-directed with strong problem solving skills, Process set-up and program launch skills Good working knowledge of computers and efficiency in MS Office  Desired Qualifications: Experience with Change Management concepts Software or product development life cycle knowledge Seven (7) years of total work-related experience  About Hudson IT & Telecommunications Hudson IT&T serves as a trusted resource for clients seeking high-quality technology professionals and IT solutions.
