Proposal Specialist
Proposal Specialist
The proposal specialist reports to the proposal manager and is responsible for ensuring the proposal is organized, compliant, and compelling. The proposal specialist sets up the proposal tracking sheet, tracks the status and release of requests for proposals, develops the proposal compliance matrix, tracks exhibits and proposal revisions, develops and weaves proposal win themes, and coordinates final proposal production and delivery. In addition to proposal coordination, the proposal specialist will take on increasing responsibilities to balance proposal workload. The proposal specialists will manage sources sought, letters of interest, statement of qualifications, and joint venture applications to the Small Business Administration (SBA).
The proposal specialist will also track incoming task order RFPs and manage task order proposals by coordinating with Estimators, and technical writers. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related area
- 2 to 5 years of writing and editing experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experienced in Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Ability to establish project schedules, set priorities, and meet milestones
- Ability to function well in a team environment
