.Directs, motivates and monitors assigned project personnel to ensure that design/development goals are consistent with established project goals and are compliant with project specifications..Prepares detailed schedule for projects to ensure timely completion, and to assist other departments with their manpower planning..Reviews the engineering design on a continued basis to maintain compliance of scope with the contract statement of work (SOW) and specifications, and to ensure that the design approach is cost effective and within budget..Prepares all engineering releases of completed designs together with all appropriate written instructions, supplemental data, and other pertinent information required to clearly define the intent and scope of work authorized by the release. Assists in development of preliminary designs..Analyzes the requirements of bid specifications, determines feasible design alternatives, and assists in the preparation of Technical proposals, including cost and schedule estimates..Prepares and presents preliminary and detailed design disclosures to clients to ensure their understanding of design concept and details..Prepares and conducts technical communications, and functions as liaison between the Company and client to resolve technical issues and promote understanding..Coordinates and supervises site surveys, integration and acceptance testing phases of projects at client facilities, and makes necessary decisions to correct any deficiencies which may impede the progress and completion of the task..Reviews and evaluates all design change notices and records that reflect changes on previously issues drawings, specifications, or material lists..Performs other duties as assigned, or necessary for the operation of the Department and/or Company.
.BS in Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree preferred. .At least 5 years Development Engineering experience(Mechanical or Electronic)..Knowledge of engineering disciplines other than own specialization..Moderate travel (domestic and international) on short notice (1 to 5 days) for business meetings, program reviews, contract negotiations, and field installations, generally 2 to 5 days in duration..Excellent problem solving and conceptual skills..Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
