This Systems Engineering position is specifically targeted for support to the ALQ-144 Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) program.  Extending the life of this heritage system is a critical program within the Readiness & Sustainment (R&S) Business Area (BA).  In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for: leading the engineering team in all aspects of system sustainment and performance, be the primary technical liaison to Program Management and the customer base, provide and/or assist in delivering system operational and maintenance training to customer's world wide.  The position will require periodic travel to deployed system sites.  The R&S Systems Engineering department is seeking a motivated team player who is a self-starter with the ability to analyze system performance at a platform level, has general IRCM domain knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, customer/user facing experience, and a drive for continuous improvement.  Prior experience with the 144 or other IRCM systems is preferred although not required.   Systems Engineering applies broad technical knowledge and skills in multiple scientific/technical disciplines to the analysis, specification, planning, developing, designing, integration, testing, and production of stand-alone and/or Systems-of-Systems and/or manages and coordinates the system engineering process for these Systems. The Systems Engineering organization supports the definition of system architectures and designs that achieve "best value" goals of meeting performance and life cycle requirements within allocated budget and schedule constraints while maintaining consistency within established Company practices and methods. Systems Engineering staff support concurrent engineering specialty disciplines in defining system requirements, designs, and productions.     The Electronic Warfare Line of Business concentrates on integrated avionics requirements for military tactical aircraft.  Programs include advanced radar warning, radar jamming, electronic warfare systems, and electronic combat and self-protection systems.  Electronic Warfare provides the electronic countermeasures suite for the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor aircraft and is the lead electronic warfare system integrator for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.  Its Integrated Defensive Electronic Radio Frequency Countermeasures (IDECM) system protects U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F aircraft against radar-guided missiles.  Its Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM) is the next-generation, directable, laser and lamp-based countermeasure that protects aircraft against heat-seeking missile threats - and the advanced sensors in the ATIRCM's counterpart Common Missile Warning system (CMWS) provide missile warning capabilities.   BS Engineering with 8+ years of related experience which may include: Systems, Diagnostics, Requirements Development, Field Engineering, System or Sub-system Integration, Trade studies, Systems architecture and analysis.
