Principal Analyst, Science and Technology Programs
BRTRC, a growing government contractor, is looking for a results driven, self starter, team-oriented, and technologically savvy former military officer with strong experience in defense Science and Technology (S&T) programs to provide S&T analytical support to the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command located at Fort Belvoir, VA. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the establishment by analyzing and tracking international agreements that may result in the integration of new best-of-breed technologies to support the Army Warfighter. The candidate will be required to use database administration techniques to manage and analyze data from several repositories, and provide findings and recommendation based on his/her conclusions. Data collection, posting and analysis will be required as support for all functions listed within this description. The candidate will also be required to prepare briefings and information papers for both operational and senior level decision makers.
Position Requirements:
A bachelors degree with 10 years experience or a master’s degree with 8 years experience in the S&T field Extensive internal knowledge of the government and/or Department of Defense (DoD) In-depth knowledge of database management Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel Strong analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of DoD acquisition policy preferred Experience supporting master planning and information papers, tracking policy changes, and researching industry practices in defense related science and technology initiatives are preferred Team player with a strong customer service focus Experience with international technology programs a plus
