Oracle DBA - 109777
Candidate selection is based on successful completion of SF85P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Position. Candidate must be a US citizen. All work must be done on site. Position is expected to be long term.
Position will be part of a team responsible for the application support of the Mechanization of Contract Accounting Services (MOCAS). MOCAS provides critical support to the Department of Defense responsible in part for civilian pay, contract pay, and vendor pay.
Position will support logical and physical database design. Assist application teams to resolve performance issues. Assist application teams to utilize Oracle technologies to satisfy business and operational requirements. Provide expert database knowledge for the team's customers. Must have ability to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issues. Will be responsible for proactive monitoring of the databases.
Set up and resolve issues with Oracle Data environments. Perform disk space management and database performance and resource monitoring. Analyze data models and physical database designs and provide guidance to developers. Design and maintain a database using database utilities and query languages. Perform modeling techniques for databases and data warehouses. Develop and maintain Entity Relationship Diagrams. Control access to the database through users and role assignments. Guide the Migration of DBs from one server to another.
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel for training and/or meetings. Travel is expected to be less than 5%.
