Networking Electronics Technician

 Duties of Position:Networking support for the Communications & Sensors Department.  § Configure and manage hardware and software controlled Raid arrays.§ Configure, install and reconfigure systems using SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003.§ Configure servers for multiple operating systems.§ Configure and manage multiple Local Area Networks and network configurations.§ Implement and track the configuration of hardware and software upgrades across multiple platforms.§ Review equipment configurations and recommend performance improvements/modifications.§ Evaluate, configure and operate network wireless technology. Required Education, Training, and Qualifications : High School diploma or GED.  Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or 4 year electronics apprentice program.  Formal electronics training in: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. 4 years of experience in: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout. 3 years experience in operation, training, and testing of C4ISR communications equipment and systems. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred. Network Plus Certification preferred. Technical Background in network integration and maintenance is preferred. Prior experience with Software Defined Radios and waveform testing is a plus.
