Network Engineer-Honolulu
SAIC has in immediate opening for a Network Engineer. Location: Honolulu, HiJob Type: Full time, Salaried Must currently have a DoD Top Secret Clearance SAIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, M/F/D/V Description:Responsible for leadership and operation of a complex LAN/WAN. Experience in a broad range of networking products and tools and applied network management concepts such as Cisco Routers, Cisco IOS, and Cisco Catalysts Switches, HP OpenView, CA Spectrum, and in depth Protocol knowledge such as TCP/IP. Responsibilities include management of network LAN/WAN and system wide deployment, research, design, development, and maintenance portion of the TNOSC and theater wide AOR. Candidate will be required to provide project management and direction to subordinate subject matter experts. Responsibilities include applying network-engineering principles in analysis, design, prototyping, development, and testing of networking products. Excellent written and verbal skills. Three (3) years experience in large data center operations and large enterprise data center architecture. Understanding large Windows deployment strategies and security concepts. Responds to on-call 24x7. Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Required Skills:Requires a minimum of 7 years general experience of which 3 years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: administering complex EMS solutions, supervision of system administrators and administration of operating systems. Desired Skills:Demonstrated knowledge of large Enterprise LAN/WAN Environments, project leadership and senior level technical management. Experience/ Additional Comments:Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance. Must possess IT-I and IAT-III Information Assurance designation.
