(This position can be based in Reston, VA or San Diego, CA)The successful candidate will serve as Capture Lead for National Geographic-Intelligence Agency (NGA)-emerging and follow-on programs, serving in a technical marketing role in this operational and systems area. The NGA Capture Lead is responsible for working closely with the GEOINT management and technical team to ensure that BAE Systems secures a significant development role in the appropriate area. The capture lead will oversee development of the requirements, scope and plans for BAE Systems tasks and ensure that tasks are successfully completed. The capture lead will serve as a primary interface to customer representatives to help identify and propose solutions in areas where BAE Systems has discriminating technical expertise. The capture lead will work with BAE Systems management to ensure that the capture effort is correctly staffed and to plan and execute strategies/plans that lead to a successful program win. The candidate will oversee and assist in researching overall requirements and concepts; researching competing concepts; extending the COP to encompass a wide range of ground station technologies and data types. The candidate must have solid leadership experience; must be knowledgeable of current software technologies and be able to apply that knowledge in the formulation of software solutions; and be capable of supporting systems engineering activities during the architecture development phase of the program such as trade studies, performance analysis, requirements decomposition, derivation, and allocation.
