Miltiary Networking Engineer

The Military Networking Engineer will lead, direct and perform system design and architecture definition on tactical C4ISR networking programs. The candidate will lead and participate in system trade-off and performance studies and analysis, interpret and analyze requirements obtained/derived from customer and other vendor specifications, review system specifications and other documentation, participate in hardware and software design reviews and technical meetings. Will also lead and participate in developing and performing demonstrations of new technology for customers, defining technology road maps and defining technical elements of the business strategy. Candidate will also lead the integration of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems on a multitude of different platforms both terrestrial and aerial. Selected individual will also be required to monitor the network development, testing, and modeling work to provide an iterative review of the architecture as performance needs. The candidate will participate in application of commercial technology to the development of communications systems for typically tactical employment including converged services, computer networking, Command, Control and Situation Awareness.

- Five years or more years hands-on tactical or operational military communication experience. - BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field. - Detailed knowledge of networking concepts, Cisco routing and switching products, TCP/IP, QOS, IP addressing. - Minimum of 10 years or more experience in design of tactical C4ISR network systems, or applicable operational experience and similar management responsibility. - Must be able to serve as Chief Engineer or Lead Systems engineer for a networking program. - Must be able to lead an IPT and small group of engineers in a project or task. - Strong track record of cross-functional facilitation skills and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
