This position is responsible for the receipt, identification, storage and issuance of bench stock supplies. Supplies include repair parts, components, assemblies and raw stock. Completed work is spot checked for compliance with instructions and established procedures. Independently completes routine assignment in accordance with accepted methods and procedures. Essential job functions include selecting and issuing items from stock by matching specific item names, models, location, and stock numbers with similar information at stock locations. As required, identifies desired items from description of intended usage in the absence of other identifying information. Refers to locator files, and stock and part number change lists to identify and locate items. Recommends substitute items to fit users requirements when requested item is unavailable. Ensures the receipt of exchange parts when appropriate. Receives stock items ordered and updates automated stock records to maintain perpetual inventory records. Stores stock items in specific locations established for items taking into consideration size, shape, and nomenclature of items. Maintains accountability of tools and test equipment. Ensures that test equipment is submitted for calibration at prescribed intervals; signs-out and checks-in test equipment. During periodic inventories, counts stock in storage area and gives information to supply personnel responsible for the inventory. Will be required to operate hand and powered material handling equipment to transport or store maintenance supply items/material. Will be required to operate a pickup truck or other government motor vehicle. Transports parts and supplies to and from various maintenance sites and supply facilities. Performs routine vehicle maintenance checks before, during, and after operation of the vehicle to include refueling, checking all fluid levels, keeping vehicle clean, etc. Maintains vehicle logbook as appropriate and prepares accident reports in accordance with established procedures. May be required to handle hazardous material/hazardous waste. May be required to work in the same job classification at other locations/offices and may be cross-utilized in other job areas. Additional duties may be assigned to support contract requirements in a job-related area such as environmental, safety, security and housekeeping of work areas. Duties are typically performed in an office and work shop environment with some lifting or movement of materials; however, duties may be performed outdoors subject to inclement weather. Must have: At least three (3) years recent relevant experience Valid state drivers license Ability to obtain a government issued drivers license Ability to obtain a material handling equipment certification Ability to obtain the requisite security clearance May be required to report to work all USAG-HI sites, will be expected to work overtime periodically when required, and regular work hours may, with proper notification, be adjusted to include shift work to meet contract requirements.
