Learning Coordinator

Brooklyn Public Library, the nation’s 5th largest public library system with a network of 60 neighborhood libraries is committed to providing the borough’s 2.5 million people quality services, programs, and a vibrant learning environment.

 

Learning Coordinator is responsible for the overall administrative maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS).  The Coordinator will manage program content and master training calendar, coordinate scheduling with staff and trainers.  Will also serve as the primary liaison for all training instructors in the organization.  The role of the Training Coordinator requires a strong customer service orientation as well as demonstrated team oriented and collaborative experience.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: Provide administrative support for learning activities & logistical planning Communicate and interface with employees on training events and information Data management of all course information in the LMS Assist in the testing of all upgrades in the LMS Train appropriate staff members to use the LMS Coordinate multiple training activities and develop a master calendar for each fiscal year Track training attendance and run customized reports Manage license agreements with vendors for course content Provide customer service for technical support to users of the LMS

Skills & Qualifications: Associates degree, Bachelor’s preferred; related industry strongly preferred A minimum of three years of administration and coordination support and training and project management  Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills  Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through Familiarity with a learning content management system or database system Experience working in a team based and customer service environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Demonstrated fluency and proficiency with Microsoft Office Budget experience is a plus Non-for-profit or higher education experience in a multi-site organization is a plus
