Salary: $49,816 - $57,283/year. DOQ
SUMMARY: Performs specialized technicial and analytical work related to the development and maintenance of computer and web application programs and systems. Performs on-site analysis with end users to determine requirements, analyze work processes, and data flows, generates programming specifications. Writes, tests and implements programs using the appropriate choice of programming language to optimize application performance. May be assigned as a team member on large projects. Serves as a source of programming and system design technical advice. Develops and implements applications shared by multiple users using appropriate file and/or record locking, journalizing, and database organization techniques.
NORMAL HOURS/DAYS OF WORK: Â 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration or a related field from an accredited school or university plus three years of responsible programming and/or analyst experience.  Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of multiple programming languages, various database technologies and retrieval methods.  Municipal experience is preferred.
LICENSE: Texas Class C driver’s license with a good driving record.
EXAMINATION/SELECTION CRITERIA: Evaluation of Education, Training and Experience. Offers of employment are contingent upon the results of a pre-employment controlled substance screening, criminal conviction history report, driving record check and license verification.
