Responsible for materials planning support of research & development programs. This position reviews engineering requests and bills of materials to assess cost and availability of electronic components, generates requests to centralized procurement organization for purchase and tracks parts through receipt. A key success criteria is that all electronic component parts are received and in stock in time to support the program schedule. This person will report on status to the program team; keep the program team focused on critical path components; drive actions necessary to resolve any limiters, such as finding substitute parts, negotiating improved dates with suppliers, etc., and participate in make/buy decisions based on appropriate criteria. Required11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhDExcellent planning, communication and organizational skills. Needs working knowledge of SAP.
