LCADV EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCADV), www.lcadv.org, is seeking a new Executive Director with visionary leadership, a strong passion for women’s rights and social change and the capacity to influence change in system’s response to domestic violence as well as the public’s beliefs about domestic violence. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and creative individual who is seeking an opportunity to lead a mission-focused membership organization.
The Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a statewide network of battered women’s programs, supportive organizations, and individuals who share the goal of ending violence against women and children in Louisiana. LCADV empowers its members through advocacy, education, resource development, and technical assistance.
The Executive Director acts as the chief executive officer and is responsible to the Executive Committee (elected by the membership). The ideal candidate will have acute business acumen and will also share a deep commitment to the mission of LCADV and to the people our agencies serve and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human services, Business or related field, or commensurate experience.Strategic thinking and planning, and demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans.Extensive knowledge of budget development, oversight and forecasting along with record of accountability and effective management of a multi-million dollar operating budget.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and strategic partnerships with government, business and other social service agencies.Experience as a team builder, able to work with diverse constituencies and personalities.Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Proven experience in creating and managing change.Stellar record of integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.Maintains a good balance between strong advocacy and tactful diplomacy.Experience in public relations, media savvy and marketing.Proven experience in and commitment to recruiting, maintaining, and supporting a diverse, multicultural workforce and healthy work environment.Experience in Human Resources, working with a member organization and a Board of Directors strongly preferred.
