Kiln Control & Facilities Maintenance Engineer, Progressive $300M/yr, Manufacturing Firm

Their Corporate Headquarters located in Golden, CO has an immediate and critical need for an experienced Kiln Control & Facilities Maintenance Engineer who demonstrates skill and sincere passion for the industry. Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing all facility and kiln maintenance for over 30 kilns. Day to Day:Oversees kiln firemen, bricklayers, and maintenance personnel. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of kilns and firing processes to solve complex problems. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principals, practices and procedures within the engineering discipline. Tests and modifies firing and manufacturing processes through trial runs of production process, reviewing and correcting problems beyond standards. Operates with substantial latitude, making decisions to further company goals. Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of the firing process as a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Prepares and maintains budgets and participates in cost control efforts. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Works effectively toward company goals with technical and other disciplines including accounting, sales, production, etc. Conducts internal and external training, and may travel to other sites to provide guidance. Understands and meets or exceeds quality standards; seeks to minimize error rate. Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas. Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing effective communication skills and very high math skills.Experience/Education Required:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or appropriate science and 7 years experience in an equivalent or similar discipline. Knowledge of combustion engineering required. Prior experience in a supervisory or management role.
