SUMMARY OF THE JOB:Position is an interactive and analytical role overseeing site inventory levels.  The position monitors and performs detailed analysis of inventory by publishing: tracking, trending, and detailed reports on inventory status including aging inventory and Advance Releases.  This person also leads initiatives and interacts with cross-functional organizations to optimize inventory levels including strategic material reviews and the enhancement of inventory control systems.   PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads the development and implementation of inventory control procedures  Analyzes inventory levels Leads effort on reducing inventory levels to optimal levels Assists in inventory accuracy initiatives Maintains and updates policies for inventory control Prepares detailed reports with recommendations for eliminating aging and obsolete inventory Actively works to reduce aged and obsolete inventory Publishes monthly Advance Release and site Inventory Summary reports  Establishes and maintains ABC inventory classifications Develops guidelines for managing inventory in accordance with ABC classifications Ensures proper alignment of strategic materials to business forecast Leads inactive material reviews and work with Finance on reserve provisioning Works with Configuration Coordinator and Purchasing to ensure inventory management during engineering change process  Initiates inventory requirement schedules that support select programs on Master Schedule Plays a lead role in Physical Inventory preparedness and execution Minimum Education and Experience Required: BS degree or 3+ years of materials experience in a manufacturing environment APICS and or Six Sigma certification desired PC proficient with specific experience in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Access Demonstrated experience in materials management Experience with MRP a plus Experience with ISO 9000 or QS 9000 Quality Systems preferred ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSMust be a US Person, that is, must meet one of the following requirements: (1) US Citizenship (born in the US) (2) Permanent Resident   - - Green Card Holder   - - Immigrant Visa   - - Resident Alien Card (3) Intending Citizen   - - Person lawfully admitted for permanent residence   - - Person admitted as a refugee   - - Person granted asylum (4) Dual Passport Holder/Dual Citizenship (with US Citizenship) People are the greatest asset in any Company ...BAE Systems is committed to a high performance culture and provides an environment that challenges our employees to be remarkable and obtain their full potential.We are an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer that understands the value of diversity and its impact on a high performance culture.Join us ...
