BAE Systems San Diego is looking for a technology leader for the planning, design, development and execution of next-generation data centers for our defense customers. The qualified candidate will have a full spectrum of data center design technical expertise starting with the creation of high availability data centers, and including computing, networking, storage & storage networking, facilities, power, and cooling subsystems. - Bachelor's degree in a technical field - 15+ years of IT systems integration / engineering experience - Hands on experience with network routing and switching in a high availability environment, network virtualization and network protocols, load balancing products and techniques, and enterprise class firewall technologies - Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows server platforms (SMP, Blade Servers, Rack-Dense Servers), including server virtualization - Experience with data center security techniques and encryption technologies such as SSL and IPSEC VPN - Extensive working knowledge of high availability storage concepts and technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, tape, VTL), including storage virtualization - Extensive working knowledge of with backup and recovery technologies - Extensive working knowledge of high availability database technologies - Knowledge of data center physical and environmental subsystems (cooling, power sourcing, power distribution, copper and optical cabling, floor loading, thermal management, etc.) - Ability to define, document, and clearly communicate overall architecture to all business partners, vendors, suppliers, value added resellers and strategic outsourcers. - Thorough knowledge of services and applications used in the data center environment (DNS, LDAP, NTP, HTTP, FTP, SSL etc.)- ITSM and ITIL experience a plus - CCNP, CCDP certifications a plus - Defense/Intelligence Industry experience a plus People are the greatest asset in any Company ...BAE Systems is committed to a high performance culture and provides an environment that challenges our employees to be remarkable and obtain their full potential.We are an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer that understands the value of diversity and its impact on a high performance culture.Join us ...
