IT Auditor Senior-Internal

The Virginia Department of ABC is seeking a dynamic individual to: Perform annual IT Risk Assessments; Propose and prioritize audits based on risk; Develop an annual IT Security Audit Plan; Plan and perform IT audits; Make cost beneficial recommendations for mitigating risk and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness; Document all planning, audit work performed, recommendations, and write the final audit report. All work is to be done in a professional manner and with very limited supervision. Qualified candidates should have knowledge of audit techniques for testing both network security and application security, verifying data completeness and integrity, and performing data extraction and analysis; be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships, work independently with little guidance from management; apply knowledge and skills to the complex and continuously changing computing environment at ABC and make cost beneficial recommendations for enhancing both the internal controls and effectiveness of areas audited. Will also have the ability to apply research and analytical techniques to develop and implement appropriate audit methodologies for assigned audits. A related degree is required and certification, such as CISA or CIA preferred, or the ability to obtain a certification within 18 months of employment.
