Help Desk (moving quickly)

Apex Systems is working with a government contractor located in San Diego is seeking to find  Entry Level Tier 1- Help Desk Support Technicians with some basic knowledge in desktop and hardware support. This is a 24 x 7 environment and all candidates must be open to work any shift.

 

ALL Candidates MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A 10 YEAR BACKGROUND CHECK INVESTIGATION and DEMONSTRATE proof of ELIGIBILTY TO WORK IN THE

US.

 

JOB Description: 3 week training class will be provided!

Troubleshot Microsoft applications and Legacy applications.

Troubleshot Microsoft Windows 2000/ XP OS

Configured and troubleshot MS Outlook/ Exchange server

Assist users in mapping network shares and printers

Troubleshot user profile issues on Windows 2003 Server

Consult with Tier 2 and Tier3 agents to resolve user issues

Reset passwords and unlock accounts on the network using Active directory

Troubleshot user profile issues on Windows 2003 Server

 

Additional Info:

 

-Configured and troubleshot MS Outlook/ Exchange server

-Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

-Documented issues under user accounts and escalate tickets to appropriate groups when necessary

-Ensures workstations/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software/hardware solutions.

-Acts as a liaison between the customer, suppliers, and other technical groups to resolve network and hardware problems. Analyzes performance problems and recommends solutions to enhance functionality, reliability and/or usability.

-Recommends changes and improvements to existing standards. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups, and database archive operations.

-Develops site administration documentation. Provides user orientation on hardware, software and network operations. Keeps abreast of emerging operational support technologies and industry trends.
