Firefighter/Paramedic

The City of West Carrollton is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic.  This full-time position, under the supervision of the Duty Captain will protect life and property by performing fire fighting, emergency medical services, hazardous materials, and fire inspection and prevention duties. Additionally, this person will maintain fire equipment, apparatus, and facilities. This person may also assist to coordinate, instruct, or supervise the work of the paid-on-call fire fighters, part time fire fighters, new recruits, or other personnel as assigned.

Ideal candidate will be well-educated, knowledgeable of policies and procedures and have the interpersonal communication skills to ensure success with carrying out the diverse responsibilities of the position. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or GED equivalent; 18 years of age or older; valid Ohio driver’s license at time of appointment; State of Ohio Certified Paramedic and Level II Fire Fighter at time of appointment.
