Executive Secretary Senior

Education Desired: BA or relevant experience

Essential Job Functions: Provide secretarial support for Laboratory Director and 60 staff members. Duties involve coordinating Sensors and Materials Laboratory activities and include: extensive travel and expense report preparation, arrange appointments/meetings, handle, direct and screen telephone calls, prepare project financial reports.

Experience Desired: 3+ years secretarial experience. Proficient with PC Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple assignments, establish priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and work effectively with others.

Knowledge Desired: Knowledge of office protocols including ability to interface with a wide variety of people and personalities (co-workers, technical staff, customers, director) required. Working knowledge of current office products (Word, Excel, Power Point required). Must be able to work on multiple tasks. Basic typing skills required. Must have good telephone manners. Basic financial knowledge desirable.

Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements: Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time and climb stairs to access different parts of the site.

Special Requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with people; must have friendly, “can do” attitude. U.S. citizen or permanent resident status required.
