Executive Housekeeper

EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPERLocation: Naval Medical Center - San Diego, California

 

Job Description:  The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for the planning, organizing and administration of the overall operations of the Housekeeping department within the In-Patient and Critical Care Units of the Naval Medical Center, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to assure the highest degree of cleanliness and care for patients, staff, visitors, and guests.  The EH will coordinate with, and meet with, the various Dept. Heads on a regular basis to ensure the highest quality care service and customer satisfaction; and the successful compliance with all JCAHO guidelines.Responsibilities: Staffing, scheduling and maintaining regorous training Coordinating Housekeeping operations with other departments Establish work standards and work flow Develop and maintain job descriptions of staff in coordination with senior management Evaluate and justify supplies, equipment, and purchases as needed Control expenses within area of responsibility Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data Participate in, and encourage staff to participate in, education programs in-service training.

 

Requirements: Executive Housekeeper Certification Min. 5 yrs. previous experience (3 years general housekeeping experience; plus 2 years hospital housekeeping experience) Knowledge of hospital sanitation, cleaning techniques as well as JCAHO, DOH, and City regulatory requirements preferred. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills Fluent English
