This position requires the individual to apply standard practices and techniques in electronic, mechanical, or other technical disciplines in providing support for ongoing manufacturing, engineering, and related technical projects and programs. This position requires the individual to be able to inspect, test, adjust, and certify basic assemblies, subassemblies, parts, and systems for compliance with specifications and quality assurance practices following blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals using hand tools and precision testing equipment. Other required tasks include: repairing simple malfunctions by adjusting, calibrating, aligning, or modifying circuitry and components; setting up standard test apparatus and conducting operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model; installing basic equipment field changes; and initiating requisitions for parts and material. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. Must have: Associates degree in Electronics or successful completion of a military electronic technician school.
