General Summary Apply full use and application of engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, and techniques to create, plan, and perform a variety of design, development, analysis, experimentation, test, and/or product assurance tasks. Conduct specialized technical analyses, solve technical problems of moderate complexity, and contribute to the development/enhancement of engineering models. Develop programs to enhance, implement, and support assigned technical effort. Conduct technical studies of engineering/scientific problems and provide specialized assistance to project leaders in a variety of tasks including development of product specifications, documents, and/or test procedures. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Create, plan, and perform engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, test, and/or product assurance tasks of moderate complexity for assigned portions of a project. Ensure tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements. 2. Apply full application of engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, techniques and practices to a definable portion of a technical project to test or evaluate a specific property or characteristic of a product, or to support research and development projects. 3. Apply basic knowledge of the design of division's products, technology, and systems engineering and engineering technology in the field to solve moderately complex engineering/scientific problems which have been clearly defined and have similar precedents available. 4. Develop and write technical documentation, make revisions to existing documentation, and provide input to technical papers or presentations. 5. Provide input, analysis, and recommendations to senior engineers or project leaders for the development of solutions to technical problems or independently solve technical problems of moderate complexity ensuring compliance with requirements. Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or related technical field. 2. Two years of related technical experience to solve moderately complex technical problems. Certain positions may require specialized technical knowledge. Preferred Qualifications:1. Microsoft Office Access and SQL 2. Cadence Design Systems OrCAD 3. Military control system design standards 4. Military system development documentation 5. Electromagnetic interference control methods 6. Military electrical cable design 7. Technical management of subcontract development work 8.
