Director - Resource Development and Grants

Cobb & Douglas Public Health is seeking a positive energetic individual with outstanding leadership skills for a senior managerial level position.  This position reports directly to the District Health Director which is the top executive position within the agencies.   Although this position will have district wide (Cobb & Douglas) responsibilities, the primary work location is at the Marietta headquarters. 

 

This is a key management position which will work closely with the District Health Director and the Senior Leadership Team to establish, foster and sustain relevant and effective relationships with community partners, which will enable the Cobb/ Douglas Health District to develop and achieve its mission, strategies and priorities.  This position will have the opportunity to participate on the Senior Leadership Team as it begins its five year strategic planning process.  The individual assigned to this position will also spear-head the agency’s grant development process by developing and writing grants and leading a quality process to find funding sources that will help finance the achievement of the agencies’ strategies and objectives.

Compensation / Benefits Include: A competitive salary commensurate with experience is offered. Employees will be enrolled in the Employee’s Retirement Systems new GSEPS Plan (Georgia State Employees’ Pension and Savings Plan).  GSEPS is a combination Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution plan which provides employees “portable� retirement plans that can travel with them throughout their careers. Defined Benefit (DB) Plan provides a pension benefit formula of 1% x years of service x highest average salary.  Defined Contribution (DC) Plan provides State matching up to 3% with member contributing 5%, utilizing the Peach State Reserves 401(k) Plan.
