POSITION DESCRIPTION:Perform digital electronics design, simulation, analysis, and evaluation and provide HW support of requirements generation for the development of digital electronic circuitry. Develop and support hardware designs through all phases of PWB design and system integration for aerospace and ground based hybrid electric drive vehicle systems applications. Perform activities such as prototype evaluation, design-to-cost tradeoffs, compliance verification, design reviews, design verification testing, qualification test support, system integration support, and production support tasks. Maintain the desire to stay current in the continuously developing electronics field and expand knowledge base and skills in digital hardware engineering. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: BSEE or equivalent degree10+ years circuit design experience, with the demonstrated ability to design digital circuit cards using microprocessors, FPGA's and DSP's Comprehensive knowledge of digital electronic devices and circuit design principles and experience using design/analysis tools Hands-on hardware build, test, and integration experience Experience with Matlab and Simulink for auto-generation of FPGA code Design with Digital Signal Processors Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability, along with follow-up and monitoring skills Strong written and oral presentation skills PWB design support to ensure electrical integrity of PWB design.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: MSEE or equivalent degreeMicroprocessor (Pentium, Power PC) and Fire-wire 1394B design experience, with demonstrated digital design ability in military and commercial applications; serial interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC, 422, 485, CAN, etc) and FPGA design using Xilinx, Lattice, Altera, etc. Mentor Schematic Capture and signal integrity analysis (Hyperlynx) tool skills VHDL Design Emphasis on design-to-cost methodology People are the greatest asset in any Company ...BAE Systems is committed to a high performance culture and provides an environment that challenges our employees to be remarkable and obtain their full potential.We are an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer that understands the value of diversity and its impact on a high performance culture.Join us ...
