Database Administrator
The successful candidate will possess an excellent understanding of systems engineering in diverse hardware and software platforms with a focus towards security. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to support database systems, hardware, applications, and customers in a dynamic enterprise environment. Activities: Design and maintenance of a Microsoft SQL Server Design and maintenance of a Microsoft SharePoint Design and maintenance of a Microsoft IIS Install, configure, harden, and maintain enterprise production servers Application hosting and support Third Level user and system support Design and document configuration management and maintenance procedures Skills Required Minimum 5 years experience in a Microsoft Windows SQL Server configuration, installation, and maintenance. Experience and understanding of T-SQL, stored procedure programming, Business Intelligence Studio development, data migration. Experience working with server and network technologies including SharePoint, IIS and DNS. Experience and understanding of Microsoft .NET technologies Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work under minimal supervision as part of a team The following skills would be a plus: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university MSCA/MCSE/MCDBA 2000/2003 Familiarity with Compaq and Dell hardware Familiarity with SharePoint and IIS Familiarity with server virtualization Linux expertise is a plus
