Data Analyst at the U.S. Attorney's Office

Forfeiture Support Associates (FSA), a government contractor in support of the Asset Forfeiture Program of the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, has an opening for a Data Analyst located at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Boise, ID. The USAO is responsible for the prosecution of both criminal and civil actions against property used or acquired during illegal activity. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation, to include a credit check.


A Data Analyst provides organization and management of case files and will execute the following duties:
Create Excel spreadsheets and perform word processing relevant to case documentation
Review data (completeness of information, proper execution)
Assure information is accurate and perform analytical computations necessary to process data
Enter data relevant to case into financial data base
Extract data from agency data base for management and program reports
Obtain additional information from other investigative agencies/data bases
Gather information and organize investigative package
Verify case files and case tracking system
Maintain internal status information on the disposition of all forfeited assets
Assist lead analyst or official in obtaining/collecting all documents/information to complete case file
Provide administrative information and assistance concerning case to other investigative agencies, local law enforcement agencies, US Attorney, and other DOJ processing units, and higher headquarters
Prepare notices/advertisements
Establish/maintain physical file
Distribute and receive documents
A Data Analyst must meet the following qualifications:
Basic understanding of accounting principles, credits and debits
Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets. Proficiency on Excel required
Ability to prepare and correct reports and correspondence using MicroSoft Word and Word Perfect
Ability to review and analyze data and information from multiple sources
Ability to enter and retrieve data from data bases
Ability to manipulate, transfer, and compute and print information
Ability to prepare and format management reports
Ability to establish case/project files
High School diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred
