Contract Background Investigator

 

MSM Security Services is seeking Contract Investigators to conduct background investigations in support of National Security.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to: Conducting background investigations on U.S. Citizens for the purpose of determining their suitability to access sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.  Investigators will conduct in person interviews with the subject of the investigation, his/her neighbors, coworkers, friends and associates.  Investigators will also perform record searches at police agencies, courthouses, educational/financial institutions and medical/mental health facilities.  Investigators will report the results of the investigation in a customer specified format.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants will qualify with three years investigative experience as a Federal, State or Local Law Enforcement Investigator or Military Investigator (i.e. federal agent, detective, probation officer or state investigator, 97B)..

 

Intermediate typing and computer skills are required and U.S. citizenship.  Due to the nature of this position, a valid driver's license and transportation are required.  Must have excellent writing and communication skills and have the ability to deal with various types of individuals. Occasional travel may be required.

 

Applicants should hold an active Top Secret clearance or have a favorably adjudicated SSBI.  Those applying without a Top Secret clearance will be considered based on workload of the area they reside, and must be able to pass a single scope background investigation (credit, criminal, civil, employment, mental health/medical).
