Compliance Coordinator
Centene Corporation is a leading multi-line healthcare enterprise that provides managed-care programs and related services to individuals receiving benefits under Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).POSITION PURPOSE: Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and federal and state government reporting and regulations. Perform duties that support the State relations aspects of the Compliance Department. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 3-5 years experience in a managed care or insurance environment. Advanced knowledge of a technical or specialized field such as insurance, public health policy, compliance or government affairs.** The appropriate candidate must be have strong verbal and written communication skills. **Managed Care experience a Must! Medicaid, Contract Management, Auditing, and Policy and Procedure Maintenance skills preferred.**Skills/ Competencies: Excellent word processing, spreadsheet, computer and database management skills; pleasant, professional interpersonal skills; problem-solving orientation and skills; good analytical and mathematical skills; strong team player; self-starter, initiate assignments with minimal supervision; exercise tact and diplomacy, maintain confidential information; detail orientation; excellent follow-through behavior; high level of accuracy; and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.CRITICAL JOB ELEMENTS: Normal office work environment. Dexterity of hands and fingers, and little physical effort. Above average effort including complexity and timeliness of decision making, analytical and conceptual skills and memory. Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communications skills. Ability to see and hear.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Primary Duties: Maintain compliance with contract deliverables and other requirements for the Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare Managed Care program as indicated in the contractual relationship with the Department of Human Services (DHS). Maintain compliance with regulatory deliverables and other requirements related to New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance regulations for the product. Significant Duties: Assist in maintaining accurate policies and procedures, materials, written correspondence and participate in both internal and external meetings related to the program. Assist in inquiries, complaints, audits, reviews, change requests, etc. related to the Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare product. Provide guidance within the organization in connection with the program.
