Community Development Director

The City of Owensboro is seeking a progressive, experienced, and dynamic managerial leader to serve as its next

Community Development Director. 

 

Located in a metropolitan area, Owensboro maintains a low-crime and family-friendly environment with its population of  55,000.  Owensboro is the third largest city in Kentucky,representing the industrial, medical, retail, and cultural hub of western Kentucky. The Community Development Director will have a strong managerial presence and the ability to cultivate change and collaborative relationships.  The position offers a competitive salary and benefit package. 

 

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Planning or related field, plus six (6) years as a Housing Planner or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
