CUSTOMER PROGRAMS ASSISTANT

An outstanding opportunity is available with the City of Burbank, a thriving community in southern California’s world-class media center, for a qualified individual to create and implement marketing and educational outreach energy and water conservation programs for residential and commercial customers.  Responsibilities include assisting in developing and implementing energy and water conservation activities and programs; meeting with customers and promoting City programs and services; reviewing customers’ utility-related needs and making energy efficiency recommendations; creating marketing materials; and assisting with the coordination of community events and workshops.
 
An AA Degree in business, marketing, economics, environmental science, or a closely related field; two years experience coordinating marketing, sales, business retention, or related programs; knowledge of conservation and resource efficiency techniques and methods; and a valid CA Class “C” driver’s license are required.  Experience in electric, water, natural gas or power utility is preferred. NOTE: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
