BAE Systems in Rome, NY is looking for a Software Engineer to design and develop C++ and/or Java software in a Unix environment. This position includes actively participating in the development of a multi-threaded client-server system through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. Work as part of a software development team in a SEI CMM/CMMI Level 5 organization. Some travel may be required. Candidates must have the following: 2+ years of hands on experience with C++ and/or Java using object-oriented analysis & design. Working Knowledge of UML Unix background Self motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team Good communications skills. Able to work well with other Software Engineers, Operations and Maintenance personnel, and Systems Engineers. BS in Computer Science, or related degree or comparable working experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain high level government clearance up to a TS/SCI Level.
