Job Title: Boiler Operator
Job Summary:
The Boiler Operator tends to one or more boilers to produce steam or high-temperature water for
use in an establishment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts, which register various aspects of boiler operation. Will adjust controls to insure safe and efficient boiler operation and to meet the demands for steam or high-temperature water. Candidate will also maintain a log in which various aspects of boiler operation are recorded as well as clean, oil, make minor repairs and assist in the repair to boiler room equipment. Will treat boiler water with chemicals and analyze boiler water for such things as acidity, causticity and alkalinity.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience.
