Bioterrorism Policy Analyst

Battelle's National Security division is seeking a Bioterrorism Policy Analyst for full time work in Washington DC supporting a governmental client program office. This program office is involved with all of the disciplines in combating Weapons of Mass Destruction. The successful candidate will assist other members of the program office develop policies and technologies to develop effective counter measures in concert with other governmental agencies. Desired Qualifications: - Masters in Public Health (MPH) or Medical Degree (MD) or combination - Ten years experience in public health field/epidemiology or disease reporting/surveillance or medical response to infectious diseases - Work experience with state, local or Federal Health agencies such as the Center for Disease Control Prevention (CDC), or the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). - Knowledge and awareness of emergency response plans, policies, and procedures - Must possess Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance Primary Responsibilities include: - Advise senior staff and provide technical and analytical analysis - Participate, coordinate, and report meetings. Assist project work in areas of technical competence and expert analysis of on-going and potential programs. - Researching, reviewing, evaluating, and integrating data on health statistics, epidemiologic studies, and other sources of information on infectious diseases - Preparing assessments, short-suspense alerts and responses to time-sensitive requests for information - Serving as a liaison to other government organizations, academia, and international health agencies
