Gyrocam Systems specializes in the design and installation of gyro-stabilized camera and surveillance systems for Law Enforcement, Homeland Security and Military applications. We are the only provider that can deliver a leading-edge system, fully installed and integrated. A single-source solution that is ready to go. We were recently awarded a 302 million dollar Military contract for additional camera systems. 

We are looking for an experienced Associate Technical Writer to join our team.

 

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:

·         Revise existing technical manuals with hardware upgrades and engineering changes

·         Research and development of maintenance tasks for new technical manuals, military and commercial

·         Monitor engineering changes and their impact on current documentation

·         Print and fulfil orders of technical manuals for CONUS and OCONUS customers

·         Research and create new and more effective information design layouts and better ways of transferring technical information to customers

·         Assist with special writing projects

·         Capture new internal writing projects

·         Perform other related duties as assigned

 

 

To apply for the role you must: 

·           Have a minimum 3 years technical writing experience – Military experience a plus

·           Have a Bachelor’s Degree in English or equivalent

·           Be proficient with Microsoft and Adobe applications

·           Demonstrate proficiency with reading engineering drawings and bills of material

·           Be skilled and knowledgable with printing terms, document formatting, usability, and layout

·           Have strong communication skills and be able to build positive working relationships

·           Have strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

·           Must be able to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment
