Using discretion and independent judgment performs the following tasks: Reviews purchase requisition and requirements document (i.e., statement of work and specifications, bills of materials) Identifies potential resources for required materials, and develops and issues request for proposals. Responds to supplier inquires. Receives and reviews supplier proposals. Negotiates terms and conditions including price, delivery, quality, and performance requirements. Prepares and issues purchase orders and procurement justification including cost/price analysis for selected suppliers. Ensures that discussions, correspondence and agreements with potential and actual subcontractors are in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) corporate and company policy and program special provisions. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Required 6+ Years with HS or 3+ Years with AA or 0+ Years with BS Familiarity with Excel, Word, Powerpoint (or similar) applications.
