Job Description:The Assistant Training Manager will be responsible for the administrative work that supports training including preparation and formatting of the training materials, schedule monitoring, verification of sites and training timelines and organization of the training delivery Assist in developing training plan for all releases Involvement in identifying required resources (staff, equipment, materials) Assign training tasks Monitor progress towards training goals Participate in mock trainings Identify improvement in training plan and adjust plan accordingly Schedule and conduct training sessions Analyze feedback from training sessions Perform overall administrative work that supports training for the TIENET implementation at the New York City Board of Education Support the consistent communicate of training strategy to appropriate staff Train and support Trainers Interact with client regarding training strategy, development and execution Contribute to project profitability
Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (masters degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in Training and Development, Human Resources, Education, Special Education, Curriculum and Instructional Management, Technology or related field Two or more years of management experience Ability to use the computer application tools to train users and demonstrate products Ability to manage training process Ability to speak effectively in both group and individual situations Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and in turn, teach these concepts to others Ability to produce written and electronic training materials Good organizational skills Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently Primary work is for the NYC Board of Education, located in Manhattan, NY Ability to travel
