Assists staff, managers, employees, and consultants on all aspects of government security requirements and maintains minimum physical security requirements for operational facilities. This position will include Assistant FSO and Assistant CSSO responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position1. Assists employees on preparation of security clearance paperwork using the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing (e-QIP) system to ensure compliance and complete processing for forwarding to government. Must be familiar with reasons for which e-QIP applications are returned by DISCO and use great attention to detail in reviewing applications for completeness and accuracy.2. Serves as JPAS and ACAVS focal point for company. Must be comfortable performing Level 4 JPAS duties to include running PR Reports, in- and out-processing employees and consultants, sending visit requests, interpreting person summaries for eligibility and access, submitting RRUs, etc. In ACAVS, must know how to submit New SCI Access Request, New Visit Request, transfer in status requests, etc. Familiarity with letters of compelling needs a plus.3. Coordinates additional security requirements such as Polygraphs, National Agency Checks and Counterintelligence Screening. This entails interfacing with government agencies, subcontractors, and candidates to track progress through system and gather required documentation. Must also be available to escort candidates to early morning appointments on Ft. Meade.4. Ensures new hires are fully processed in advance of start date. Works with them on any questions they may have on new hire paperwork. Communicates with PMs, external security POCs, and HR on any issues affecting start dates. Coordinates SCI personnel security clearance requirements with various government customers (depending on contract requirements).5. Maintains databases of all cleared employees, classified contracts, active consultants, subcontracting companies, badges issued, etc. Prepares and keeps personnel security files for all cleared employees and consultants up to date.6. Processes incoming and outgoing Visit Requests for classified visits electronically or via fax. Provides timely visit requests for current employees as contract and/or badge renewal requires.7. Responds as On-Call person for all alarm activations in the HQ's facility when needed.8. Offers support and guidance to branch office FSOs.9. Prepares CFS Security ID Badges for security identification purposes.10. Serves as back up to Corporate Security Manager to include serving as back up for document control and accountability, providing courier authorizations and briefings, preparing DD254s, etc.11. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Education and/or Experience – Two-year college degree (minimum) in any area of study to ensure some basics. At least 2 years of combined experience working at corporate level of a government contractor and government (civilian or military) security related experience, preferably requiring interaction with various government agencies in both the collateral and SCI environments. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.Computers - Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and OutlookCertificates, Licenses, Registrations – Valid driver’s license.Clearance Level – Active TS/SCI Other Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of all aspects of NISPOM and SCI Administrative Security Manual. Practical (hands-on) experience in managing secure facilities (TS and below) through the Defense Security Service and SCIF management under any government agency. Must be familiar with Automated Information System Processing requirements for both collateral and SCI computer systems.
