Talent / Recruiting Manager
This position will be responsible for day-to-day talent management and recruiting activities, as well as strategic recruitment processes and technology. The role will partner with leadership and HR generalists to define roles, source candidates (internally and externally), manage and execute the hiring process. The position will be based at our Corporate location on McKinney Avenue in Dallas, Texas, and will primarily support field locations. Major tasks, responsibilities and key accountabilities : Proactively diagnose and define the needs identified by hiring managers Conduct comprehensive interviews that test both analytical and interpersonal attributes of the candidates Build strong relationships with line managers and staff throughout the company, as well as external recruiting partners Oversee and "own" the candidate management process, from interviewing through to candidate tracking/communication and pipeline reporting Ownership of and/or participation in special projects (e.g., forecasting reports, diversity programs, etc.) Responsible for tracking and reporting metrics, identifying trends, and establishing staffing goals Responsible for initiating and leading candidate pool development projects, as needed. Partner with recruiters to generate sourcing strategy ideas, leverage resources and share information that facilitates an effective search process Source passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches and research Source active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals Proactively conduct research and investigate new ideas to create innovative sourcing strategies BA/BS degree required Combined 7-10 years of previous HR generalist and agency and/or corporate recruiting experience Successful design and implementation of recruiting, hiring, orientation processes Demonstrated full life cycle experience and success in a fast-paced environment Able to recruit using nontechnical resources (i.e. networking, cold calling, etc.) as well as leveraging technical tools Previous ATS experience (HRsmart, Vurv, Peoplesoft, etc.) Knowledge of state and federal laws as they pertain to hiring and general human resources practices Able to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively, via telephone, writing, 1:1 or in small groups Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures Other desired experience includes: Experience managing a recruiting team with entry level, high volume, diverse, hard to find talent pools Identifying and securing sources of potential job candidates Analyzing and developing turnover and retention programs Recruiting or HR Generalist experience in a DSD, manufacturing, or supply chain organization Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Internet mining techniques (AIRS, LinkedIn, Facebook, mySpace, etc.) Dean Foods Company is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
