Stationary Engineer

Performs scheduled, unscheduled, and building maintenance, and other duties utilizing a multitude of tools including, wielding torches, both electric and acetylene. Scheduled maintenance (usually on Saturdays) consists of changing bearings, bushings, and other wear items. Also, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. Grease milk processing machine - graveyard shift. (Milk Plant) Performs maintenance within cold box in temperatures of 30 degrees below zero with a wind chill factor of 60 degrees below zero. (Ice Cream Plant) Makes rounds of the machinery to ensure its safe/proper operation. Unscheduled maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed. This includes, making minor adjustments and Repairing/replacing items on an as needed basis (timely & efficiently). Building maintenance for the entire plant and its machinery, i e., plumbing, electrical, sanitary piping, HVAC, hydraulics or air systems, and conveyor system. Utilizes various manuals, blueprints, tools, and equipment. May operate a forklift and performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment pertinent to plant operation. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
