JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Specialties Sales Merchandiser REPORTS TO: Specialties Sales Merchandising Supervisor GRADE LEVEL: 5 LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Specialties Merchandising Supervisor directs, manages, coordinates, monitors, controls and implements all retail level aspects of the merchandising and sales of Ready Pac/Specialties products within assigned routes/territories. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years retail produce sales experienceMerchandising experience requiredSpecialties merchandising experience preferredOccasional overnights required.Flexible schedule.Extensive background in produce and knowledge of all Produce Department commodities.Complete knowledge of produce department functions.Fast paced/multi-tasked.Strong organizational skills.Knowledge of Produce Department merchandising fixtures/formats.Excellent oral and communications skills.Excellent merchandising skills.Home desktop availability/use.Excel, Word, E-mail knowledge.Self-Motivated.Ability to perform/execute on own.Able to maintain calls on weekend as deemed appropriate. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: · Spends majority of time engaging in the solicitation/selling and merchandising of product in selected stores on pre-determined route. · Merchandises, monitors, sells, and up-sells retail distribution of all Ready Pac product in assigned stores/territories.· Interacts with all assigned customers on a scheduled basis to secure store level orders of all Specialties products for direct store delivery.· Rotates, cleans, maintains and stocks all Ready Pac products as needed on all store calls.· Removes all substandard or out-dated products from shelves as needed on all store calls.· Merchandises Ready Pac products to achieve maximum exposure and shelf space within all assigned stores.· Monitors/assists with all store “retail integrity” programs and compliance with store-level pricing requirements and signage of Ready Pac products on all store calls.· Interacts with consumer at shelf to secure brand loyalty of RP product and to introduce new and unfamiliar items to consumer through sampling and information. · Communicate and interact as merchandising / re-set liaison with customer produce division supervisory and store-level produce staff.· Assist in the planning and scheduling of merchandising projects to ensure successful merchandising project completion; including any and all re-set or new store openings within assigned territories or as assigned.· Assist in the development and implementation of new merchandising concepts as appropriate. · Educates/assists customers with the education/maintenance of all RP products within assigned stores.· Educates/Informs customers of all RP marketing programs as appropriate.· Assists with Merchandising Teams vacation coverage (service and/or calls) if deemed necessary.· Reviews and reacts to all daily communication regarding Division sales/merchandising objectives in stores, i.e. e-mails each am, v/m ongoing throughout day, cell phone voice mails.· Additional duties as assigned.
