Sanitation Supervisor will manage and direct daily activities to insure employees follow established dairy standards, sanitation procedures, and proper cleaning of plant equipment at our Southern Ice Cream Specialties facility in Atlanta.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·  Manages and directs activities of dairy sanitation department.

·  Plans, coordinates and advises department subordinates of work to be completed daily so dairy equipment is cleaned in a timely manner.

·  Walks around department to monitor cleaning and sanitation process to insure smooth flow of work.  Reviews and resolves operation problems from subordinates. 

·  Monitors performance of department subordinates to insure they follow established standards and procedures.  Disciplines subordinates as needed.

·  Transcribes Master Sanitation Schedule and data reports and submits information to Production Manager. 

·  Visually inspects plant and/or equipment to insure cleanliness and sanitation. 

·  Trains new employees to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.  Works closely with department Supervisor, if applicable, to monitor and assess employee's progress.  Assigns responsibilities accordingly.

·  Attends production and/or maintenance meetings to discuss department performance and/or problems.

·  Coordinates maintenance work on plant equipment to ensure proper functioning and preventive maintenance.

 

Requirements:

 

·  Bachelor’s Degree

·  Thorough knowledge of fluid milk operations, production processes, and sanitation requirements in the food industry

·  Two years of prior experience in dairy operations, a plus
