Sales Analyst

The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of food products.  They are seeking a Sales Analyst for their location in the East Bay area.

 The Opportunity

The Sales Analyst will be responsible to provide analysis and insight into sales performance across multiple channels.  This is a visible position with an exciting and growing company in the food industry.  Key responsibilities include:

· Analyze new and existing product line performance sold in Wal-mart, Costco, etc.

· Assess inventory availability, out-of-stock conditions, sales mix, store rankings, changes in item velocity, geographical differences, etc.

· Utilize IRI and internal data to provide monthly updates of the grocery store channel.

· Assess sales trends, competitive activity, pricing, distribution and promotional effectiveness.

· Utilize Spins and internal data to assess the natural foods channel.

· Assist with monthly reports for brokers.

· Participate in monthly and annual sales forecasting.

 Requirements

 

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field.

· 2 years experience in analyzing statistical data.

· Previous experience in marketing, research or sales.
