Safety Manager
Client company, a producer of cereals and snack-type foods and a leader in its category, has an immediate need for a Safety Manager with a talent for driving change in a large, dynamic, growing facility. As Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing & administering policies to establish and promote safe working conditions within this automated environment.
Successful candidate will develop strong leadership skills, excellent project management skills and the ability to improvise at a moments notice. This opening prepares an individual for future opportunities in Corporate safety and security.
Since this company believes in a “civilized” work schedule to allow their employees a life after work, your work week will be limited to a 5 day a week schedule with minimal weekend work required.
The company has been in business for about a 100 years and boasts an incredible record of success. This plant is their flagship facility, employees hundreds of folks, and is on pace to grow at 25% so one’s ability to make an impact in this company, and in this plant, are staggering!
To qualify for this unique opportunity, you must:Have a minimum of 2 years in running/overseeing a Safety department within a “manufacturing” environment. To further clarify, if you are an EHS manager and even an HR manager, who has experience in running a “Safety” dept, then you are strongly encouraged to apply as well. Degreed in safety and/or perhaps a related degree with be extremely helpful. Qualified candidate must be extremely polished with their communication skills AND must have an appetite for success whereby they can thrive in a big-plant environmentMust be “Hands-on” and highly Promotable!
