Food & Beverage Manager
Job Purpose:
The Food and Beverage Manager increases overall profitability through the offering and standards of food and equipment, and management of its supply and handling. Manages the menu development process and develops food and beverage support programs in new and existing markets, including recipe refinement, procurement, vendor relations and partner learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership
Ø Participate with the Executive Chef and restaurant managers in the creation of Quarterly Specials/ CORE (signature products) Menus Recipe Adherence designed to attract a predetermined customer market.
Ø Participate in Menu Committee’s.
Ø Communicates food and beverage data to PQ Brands and makes adequate recommendations concerning food/ beverage in territory.
Planning & Execution
Ø Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer acceptance of the menu items.
Ø Recommend to management new operating and marketing policies whenever declining or constant sales imply dissatisfaction by the customers, a material change in the make-up or the customer market, or a change in the competitive environment.
Ø Decides choice of vendors with approval of PQ Brands for CORE (signature) products.
Business Requirements & Reporting
Ø Implement effective control of food, beverage and labor costs among all locations.
Ø Assist the area managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desirable standards of quality food, service, cleanliness, merchandising and promotion.
Ø Identifies and develops opportunities to maximize sales through food product offering and standards.
Ø Prepares related budgets, and controls overall quality and costs to manage related financial performance.
Ø Periodically reports on sales performance of different products and lines.
Ø Periodically reports on Hygiene and safety performance.

Skills/Qualifications:
Ø Related Degree and/or 3+ yrs related experience
Ø Microsoft Office Proficient, communication and written skills
Ø Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ø Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ø Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail
Ø Confidentiality, Coordination, Thoroughness, Quality Focus, Objectivity
Ø Credentials a plus
